Rev. Pardue is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, and the senior pastor at Refuge in Durham, North Carolina. A native of Portland, Oregon, she attended Southern Nazarene University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theology in Ministry. While in college, she spent the summer of 2007 as an exchange student at Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya. After a year teaching English in South Korea, she attended Duke Divinity School, graduating in 2012 with a Master of Divinity.
In addition to pastoring, Rev. Pardue works as a teaching assistant in the Department of Homiletics at Duke Divinity School. She gave this guest sermon at Duke University Chapel on May 30, 2021.
