ICCT signed a letter urging Congress to support an Infrastructure Plan that tackles climate change! We also signed on to a letter from clergy and faith leaders prepared by the United Methodist Women, in partnership with Interfaith Power & Light and other faith organizations.
Take a moment to read the ICCT Policy Position on Infrastructure Bills.
At this moment in time, we have an opportunity that may not come again — to pass this American Jobs Plan that provides economic recovery and infrastructure legislation with historic levels of investment to safeguard creation, and addresses the harms of climate change and pollution caused by fossil fuel extraction and related industries. We need Congress to act on this program:
- Expanding clean, renewable energy and modernizing our electric grid
- Electrifying transportation and expanding public transit
- Providing clean water infrastructure for all communities
- Investing in justice for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and low-income communities
Together our voices will be heard!
