The NC Election day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Early Voting starts October 15, 2026. The voter registration deadline for the November 2026 general election is Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, but can differ for military and overseas citizens. There are 3 North Carolina statewide referendums.
1. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT – REQUIRE PHOTO ID FOR VOTING
2. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT – MAXIMUM INCOME TAX RATE OF 3.5%
3. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT – PROPERTY TAX LEVY LIMIT
There are also additional referendums for the various counties of NC.
